excerpted from an article by Steve Pavlina:
How to discover your life purpose in about 20 minutes
- Take out a blank sheet of paper or open up a word processor where you can type (I prefer the latter because it's faster).
- Write at the top, "What is my true purpose in life?"
- Write an answer (any answer) that pops into your head. It doesn't have to be a complete sentence. A short phrase is fine.
- Repeat step 3 until you write the answer that makes you cry. This is your purpose.

A Breast Cancer Patient's Personalized Need To Know Guide
This is group is for those interested in learning and distributing information and a simple fill-in-the-blanks data form for a breast cancer patient to use as she is being diagnosed and in time, treated.
There is too much available information for any woman to have to start from scratch, but it is scattered and varied. How is a woman to know if all pertinent items have been addressed and considered as her surgeon or oncologist is telling her what her options are and what their recommendation of her best option is. Women have to research hunt and peck for days and days before they know enough to ask some very important questions, and then each has to create their own way of taking notes - often not yet understanding the terminology or what it means, what is important for them to remember and write down, what is important that they understand and consider while making a choice that their life may depend on. Often with very little time to decide.
I have created a very basic form, and will continue to improve it and make it available here for members to print out and distribute if possible at doctors offices, libraries, anywhere public distribution is allowed. Leaving it on the table or bulletin board, via email to interested parties, via websites of their own.
(Spamming is not encouraged. Courtesy is.)
There is an effort that I am not affiliated with to have this type of information auto generated from a patient's records and provided to them. However, this program is not in place and could be years before it is.
In the meantime, let's not allow any women to lose their battle with breast cancer because they did know the right questions to ask and consider when choosing their treatment.
Comments and ideas on the form are welcome by writing to the list owner. This list will be announcement only and is solely for distribution of the most recent update of the file and information regarding the file.
